Pull up your last five customer engagements. Skip the invoices. Look at the time logs. Count the hours you spent on intake forms, research briefs, draft revisions, status emails. Then count the hours you spent actually deciding. The split is almost always nine to one. Nine hours of grind for one hour of judgment.
